Management"
The
hostel had been semi closed for 14 months until we come
along, so we have had lots to do.
One of the comments we heard about the hostel in
the past was that it wasn’t a very clean place so we want to
change people's opinion about the hostel so cleaning has been
our number one priority.
Also
over
the last few years the current owner has given the place a
bit of an over haul which included upgrading the bathrooms,
a new kitchen, new beds & bedding and reverse cycle
air-condition in every room including air-conditioning in
main area's.

are conveniently located less then 100 metre's from the
ferry terminal at Penneshaw which makes life easy when
you're arriving late, departing early or arriving on foot.
Penneshaw is a small coastal town, here you will find a
variety of things to do including, walking trails,
craft shop, museum, skate park for the kids, golf course for
the big kids, a beautiful beach, bird watching, fishing
spots, historic sites and more all in walking distance from
hostel.
Also in walking distance from the hostel is a
supermarket, post office, sealink booking office, hotel
with an out door dining area with great sea & rural views,
café, chemist, car hire and takeaway food including pizza
bar and fish & chip shop. The Kangaroo Island Tourism Centre
is also close by.
In the surrounding areas of Penneshaw you will find
wineries, secluded beaches, surf beaches, more great fishing
spots, art gallery and guided tours including the Ocean
Safari Tour which is a great way to get close to Dolphins
and see some of the amazing coast line of Kangaroo Island.
You can use your accommodation as your base while you
explore the rest of the island, tour coaches leave from
Penneshaw daily or hire a car and see the sites of Kangaroo
Island on your own terms.
